Global Child was founded in 1992, by two world language experts in the field of early language learning. For over 20 years, Global Child Inc. has been working with elementary and middle schools to offer foreign language programs. Currently Global Child is being successfully run in over 20 communities throughout Massachusetts, in both public and private schools.
Studies have shown that children learn best at an early age when their minds are most receptive to aural learning and retention. Our program emphasizes listening and speaking skills with culture integrated into the language. We follow the VMM approach (visuals, manipulatives and motion). We use a unique combination of movement, singing, skits,
games & culture. The Global Child program provides verbal discussion by native speakers in the target language.
We play games and sing songs to reinforce vocabulary being taught.
A typical class includes lots of opportunities for growth and exploration.
Students acquiring a second language progress through six predictable stages.
Global Child has developed a successful, multi-year, sequential program, consisting of child-centered curriculums.
